Welcome to the website of the Texas Industrial Workforce Foundation (“TIWF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of www.tiwf.org, including information, forms, applications, resources, links, and other content made available through the website.

By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the website.

1. About TIWF

The Texas Industrial Workforce Foundation is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization recognized under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

TIWF works to expand workforce opportunity, remove barriers to education and employment, strengthen career pathways, and connect individuals, employers, educators, workforce organizations, and communities.

Information provided on this website is intended to support TIWF's charitable and educational mission.

2. Informational Purposes Only

Content on this website is provided for general informational and educational purposes.

Nothing on this website constitutes legal, tax, accounting, financial, investment, employment, educational, medical, or other professional advice.

Users should consult qualified professionals regarding matters requiring professional advice.

3. Workforce Support Applications

TIWF may provide opportunities for individuals to apply for workforce-related charitable assistance.

Submission of an application:

  • Does not guarantee eligibility or approval

  • Does not guarantee financial assistance

  • Does not create a contractual right to assistance

  • Does not guarantee employment, training, certification, licensing, admission, advancement, or any other outcome

  • May require additional information or documentation

  • Is subject to TIWF program criteria, available resources, applicable policies, funding restrictions, and charitable purposes

TIWF retains discretion to approve, modify, defer, or deny requests consistent with its charitable mission and applicable law.

4. Partnerships and Board Service

Submission of a partnership inquiry, board-service inquiry, contact form, or similar communication does not create:

  • A partnership

  • Joint venture

  • Agency relationship

  • Employment relationship

  • Board appointment

  • Contract

  • Funding commitment

  • Endorsement

  • Exclusivity arrangement

  • Other legally binding relationship

Formal relationships with TIWF may require additional review, approval, documentation, and action by TIWF's Board of Directors or authorized representatives.

5. Donations and Charitable Gifts

TIWF may accept charitable contributions in support of its tax-exempt mission.

Submission of a donation form, donor preference, gift proposal, or other communication does not require TIWF to accept a contribution.

TIWF may decline gifts that:

  • Are inconsistent with its charitable mission

  • Contain unacceptable restrictions

  • Create unreasonable financial, legal, environmental, operational, or administrative burdens

  • Could result in impermissible private benefit

  • Present conflicts of interest

  • Are inconsistent with TIWF policies

  • Are otherwise not in the best interests of TIWF

Certain gifts may be subject to TIWF's Gift Acceptance Policy and additional review.

TIWF does not provide tax, legal, investment, valuation, or accounting advice to donors.

Donors are responsible for determining the tax consequences of their contributions with their own professional advisers.

6. No Private Benefit or Donor Control

Charitable contributions to TIWF may not be used as a means to provide improper private benefit to a designated individual, family, employee, employer, business, or other private party.

Donors may identify charitable programs or areas of interest, but TIWF retains independent discretion and control over charitable funds and the selection of beneficiaries unless a legally enforceable restriction has been expressly accepted by TIWF.

7. Website Forms and Electronic Signatures

TIWF may use third-party platforms, including electronic-signature and form-processing services, to receive applications, inquiries, donations, disclosures, and other information.

Electronic submissions and signatures may be treated as valid records to the extent permitted by applicable law.
